.: DJ Earthshaker :.
_ “Milton Earthshaker” Westcarr (previously known as ‘Jah Trinity’), will be playing Roots Reggae and Dubwise on his first billing as DJ Earthshaker.
Previously known as Jah Trinity Milton has been DJing, designing and building large sound systems since 1980.
Milton started out in January 1980 in the city of Gloucester in SouthWest UK. This was the making of what was to become a legendary Roots and Reggae culture. In 1985, a decision was made to focus solely on Rastafarian ideologies and to promote cultural music only these were the days of "Jah TRINITY". The name reflected reverence for the Ethiopian Emperor Haile Selassie.
Using hand built high powered, sound systems to promote fledgling Roots, Reggae and Dub music selections from around the world and playing in clubs and festivals in cities across the UK, even among his peers Jah Trinity stood out.
His handcrafted loudspeaker boxes produce a raw rumbling bass-line, which enthused the attendees to dance "warrior style" in the manner of the Zulu’s or other African tribes. Some individuals could be observed "stepping" from the start of the session right until the end - often 6 or 7 o'clock in the morning. Trinity's unique collection of sound effects wailing over the dub versions enhanced the listeners' appreciation and heightened their spiritual and physical responses. Using mixes of tunes available only to Jah Trinity, Milton delighted audiences seeking to hear rare tunes not to be heard anywhere else. Certain producers supplied their pre-release material solely to Jah Trinity. Such is the exclusive nature of some of it, it still remains unreleased - only to be heard whenever Milton is in session!
“Milton Earthshaker” immigrated to Adelaide Australia in 1999 and has been Djing all over the country, becoming inspired in 2000 to design and build a new showcase sound system called “Earthshaker Megasystem”, able to withstand the Australian climate’s harsh desert outback and made from the natural surroundings. He Can't wait to showcase the Earthshaker Megasystem at Earthdream and also to play the heavyweight Dub and Roots reggae which the sound was specially designed for.
The heavy duty system is made with chrome metal alloy for extra strength, and to enhance the audio frequencies within the box giving it a totally unique appearance and distinctive sound; it now uses both 24inch and 18 inch speakers for bass; plus heaps of 15 inch midrange and treble horns for clarity.
